There could be a female Dalai Lama in future, says current Dalai Lama

The Dalai Lama recalled that 15 years ago, a French magazine editor had asked him if there could be a female Dalai Lama and he had said, “If in future, the female body is more effective, then certainly yes. The Buddhist tradition is very liberal.”
